Srđ and an afternoon in Cavtat
Half a day, two very different views of the Dubrovnik coast. First the city from the hill above it, then the slower pace of Cavtat, a harbour town half an hour to the south.
Srđ comes first, while the air is still clear. Then the road swings south above Župa Bay, and the rest of the afternoon belongs to Cavtat.

Dubrovnik
The plan
Srđ
Postcard Dubrovnik: the walled town and Lokrum seen from directly above.
Župa Bay
The road runs along the hillside, with places to stop and look down on the beaches of Mlini, Srebreno and Kupari.
Cavtat
Yachts and cafés along the harbour, and a shady path around the peninsula that takes about thirty minutes. On the hilltop is the Račić mausoleum, designed by Ivan Meštrović.
Good to know
Swimmers can jump in from the rocks around the Cavtat peninsula, so pack a towel. Some guests like to stay on and take a boat back to Dubrovnik; we can drop you in Cavtat for that.
