Dubrovnik to Budva, through Perast and Kotor
On the way to Budva you pass right by the Bay of Kotor, one of the most striking landscapes on the Adriatic. Why not get out and see it? Two stops in its towns, and you still reach Budva in the afternoon.
Once over the border, the road keeps close to the water and winds around the bay at the foot of the mountains.

Along the way
Perast
A row of baroque palaces and churches along the shore, facing two small islands. Little boats take visitors over to Our Lady of the Rocks. An hour is enough, a bit more with the boat.
Kotor
Behind the sea gate, a maze of lanes and squares, and above it all the town walls zigzag up to the fortress. Lunch here works well.
Budva
Half an hour beyond Kotor. Muhamed brings you to the door of your hotel or apartment.
Good to know
Everyone in the van needs a valid passport or ID card. In July and August the border can be slow, so we leave early and stay flexible with the stops.
